
TOLL HOUSE PIE
This "pie" version of the famous Toll House Cookie is perfect with a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream, topped hot fudge sauce and whipped cream.
Total comfort food.
2 eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup butter, softened
6 ounce package Nestlé Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 cup walnuts, chopped
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
In large mixer bowl, beat eggs at high speed until foamy, about 3 minutes.
Add flour, granulated sugar and brown sugar until well blended. Beat in butter.
Stir in semi-sweet chocolate morsels and walnuts. Pour into pie shell.
Bake 55 to 60 minutes until knife inserted halfway between edge and center comes out clean and top is golden brown.
Cool completely.
If using frozen pie shell, use deep-dish style; thaw completely. Place on cookie sheet; increase baking time by 10 minutes. Serve with ice cream or whipped topping if desired.
