
You can make your own gingerbread syrup with the super secret recipe below, or buy the syrup use at Starbuck from your local Starbucks, or buy the Gingerbread syrup by Monin.
Starbucks® Gingerbread Latte
Gingerbread Syrup
2 Cups water
1-1/2 Cups granulated sugar
2-3/4 Teaspoons ground ginger
3/4 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoon vanilla extract
Dash nutmeg
1/2 Cup fresh espresso
8 Ounces milk, steamed
Garnish
whipped cream
ground nutmeg
Combine water, sugar, ginger, cinnamon and vanilla in a saucepan. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer uncovered, for 15 minutes. Remove syrup from heat.
Make a double shot of espresso.
Steam 8 ounces of milk, or see instructions for steaming milk in a microwave.
Add 1/2 cup espresso to a 16-ounce cup.
Add 1/4 cup gingerbread syrup, followed by the steamed milk. Stir.
Top off the drink with a dollop of whipped cream, and a sprinkle of nutmeg.
