Honey Pepper Sauce
3/4 Cup honey
1/3 Cup soy sauce
1/4 Cup dark brown sugar, packed
1/4 Cup pineapple juice
juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tablespoons)
2 Tablespoons white distilled vinegar
2 Teaspoons olive oil
1 Teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 Teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 Teaspoon paprika
1/4 Teaspoon garlic powder
4-8 ounce salmon fillets (without skin)

Combine all sauce ingredients in a saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sauce begins to boil.
Simmer uncovered for 15 minutes or sauce thickens and becomes syrupy.
Be careful not to let the sauce boil over.

Preheat barbecue to medium. Rub salmon filets with vegetable oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Serve with small cup of sauce on the side.
